This commercial rental space was reimagined for a luxe medical practice. I developed the Cocoon concept, using a dark, refined palette to evoke the butterfly’s transformation—an elegant metaphor for renewal and elevated care.
Key challenges included uneven flooring, non–ADA-compliant restrooms, a shared demising wall, and multiple exposed structural elements. I delivered thoughtful, code-compliant solutions that streamlined the layout, enhanced the patient experience, and reduced unnecessary construction costs.
Combined product display and coffee station for functionality and patient experience.
The front office presents a visually engaging street-front presence.
The uneven flooring was resolved by introducing a subtle ramp enhanced with floor-level illumination. Wall sconces and flush-mount fixtures provide overall lighting and clear wayfinding, creating a safer and more cohesive transition between spaces.
A glass-wall-integrated monitor creates a seamless flow for examinations and treatment communication.
Changing curtain with a hook and chair provided for personal belongings.
Garden views in the treatment rooms provide a necessary calming element for patients who may feel apprehensive.

A garden-fountain view from the IV Therapy Suite provides a tranquil backdrop, easing patient apprehension.
